Acacia Camp, Masai Mara
Situated on the edge of the Masai Mara National Reserve, Acacia Camp is located 100kms from the town of Narok (260kms from Nairobi). It is the only tented camp of its kind at the Masai Mara, in that it caters to the needs of a wide range of clientele, from the adventure seeker to corporate clients and even schools and other organised groups.
A stone's throw away from the Masai Mara National Reserve's Olelemutia Gate and only 12kms from the Sekanani Gate you'll find Acacia Camp nestled on six acres of manicured grounds sprinkled generously with acacia trees and other flora that's unique to this savannah country. The camp faces the scenic Meguarra Hills and the stream that meanders by at the bottom of the camp is a particularly attractive feature, not only to campers, but also to the game that drop by for a quenching drink.
The camp is divided into two sections, one which boasts 34 permanent tents, each with twin beds and private porch. The other section is an open ground available for campers to pitch their tents. There are three well-lit cooking areas where campers can prepare meals. Meals are also available on prior request and menus can be tailor made to suit various budgets. With a clean, modern ablution block, boasting flush toilets and refreshing hot water showers plus 24-hour security, our guest's comfort and peace of mind is guaranteed.
Masai dances round the evening bonfire and Manyatta visits are some of the culturally enriching activities on offer at Acacia Camp. Game watching and game drives are also available by prior arrangement to add spice and variety to the Acacia Camp experience.
