Zambia
Zambia is a vast sprawling country of gently undulating forest plateaux, savannah studded with lakes, and ancient rivers that support great herds of game. Livingstone is the nearest Zambian settlement to the mighty Victoria Falls where the Zambezi River plunges into the gorge 100 metres below. Zimbabwe
The principle attraction of Zimbabwe is the Victoria Falls, best experienced in the spray drenched rain forest of Victoria Falls National Park. A wide number of adventure activities are focused on the falls and there are endless ways to experience the mighty Zambezi from flights over the falls, white-water rafting, canoeing, or even from the end of a bungee jump. Tanzania
Tanzania's natural environment and geographical features have made it one of the best tourist destinations in Africa. Inland are the vast Serengeti National Park and animal-packed Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and thousands of people every year fulfil their lifetime achievement of climbing to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro. On the coast Zanzibar is exotic, intriguing and steeped in the unique Swahili culture. SouthAfrica
South Africa is arguably one of the most beautiful and varied countries in the world. It offers a range of landscapes, magnificent natural beauty, a multitude of game reserves and national parks, over 4,000 kilometres of coastline, vibrant cities such as Cape Town and Johannesburg, and endless adventures and activities. There is more to South Africa than you'd ever see on one trip, so make lots of time to explore. Namibia
Namibia is a country of compelling beauty and wide horizons dominated by the brooding and desolate Namib Desert, which has the highest sand dunes in the world that you can climb at Sossusvlei. Other highlights are seeing the sun sink over Fish River Canyon, watching animals at Etosha’s National Park’s floodlit waterholes, and going dune bashing around the coastal resort of Swakopmund. Malawi
Malawi offers a variety of attractions from forests, mountains and rural villages, but is best known for Lake Malawi, or ‘Lake of Stars’ as Livingstone named it, an enormous fresh water inland sea. The rustic resorts on the lakeshore are ideal places to kick back in the sand and watch the sun sink into the lake as fisherman return to shore with the day's catch. Kenya
Kenya has stony deserts, fertile forests and grassy plains that are home to an abundance of animals and colourful tribes people. Highlights are the high-altitude colonial-built capital of Nairobi, the vast and untamed Masai Mara Game Reserve, and the string of scenic soda lakes that litter the Great Rift Valley. Botswana
Botswana has remained almost completely unspoiled and it’s an ideal destination for nature lovers. Experience Africa at its most natural in the Okavango Delta’s maze of lagoons, secret waterways and palm-dotted islands. And Chobe National Park with its floodplains and acacia woodlands is the best place to see elephant drink their fill from the Chobe River. Or click here to select from the map view |
