Lake Nakuru National park was created around the soda lake, Lake Nakuru in 1961. The park receives many travellers whom come view the gigantic flocks of flamingos and the rhinos in their natural habitat. This park is also home to many other smaller and larger animals.

All members of the Big Five can be found in the Masai Mara National Reserve, a reserve that which is a natural extension of the Serengeti plains in Tanzania. The Mara River serves as a natural border, and is crossed annually by hordes of zebra and wildebeest during the great migration from July to October, watching their every movement closely are the well fed predators of this reserve.

Mombasa is situated next to the Indian Ocean, and is the second largest city in Kenya. It is home to a massive port and an international airport.

Mt Kenya is the highest mountain in Kenya and the second highest mountain in Africa, after Mt Kilimanjaro. The highest peak of Mt Kenya is 5199m. Mt Kenya National Park protects the area surrounding the mountain. This national park is with the forest reserve which encircles it. The national park and the forest combined became a world heritage site in 1997.
